COVID - 19 ~ CORONAVIRUS
UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE DECIDED TO CANCEL ALL BLACK CRICKET KIDS CLUB SESSIONS FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. WE WILL NOTIFY YOU WHEN THEY WILL BE BACK AGAIN.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Black Cricket Kids Club News!
We hope that you are all well.
Unfortunately Black Cricket Kids Club still cannot hold sessions as, you will know, we like to provide a "hands on" approach and therefore social distancing would be impossible. BUT.....
For a few weeks we have been considering hosting Zoom sessions instead.
Of course, there would not be any handling of the animals or making enrichment or enclosures for them but we can still discuss and learn about different animals and many of the animals can still make an appearance on Zoom.
If your child attended the Black Cricket Kids Club sessions before we had to stop due to Covid-19 but would be interested in the Zoom sessions, please let us know!
Unsure of the day / time/ regularity at the moment - this all depends on the interest we have for holding the Zoom sessions.

"Black Cricket Kids Club inspires, motivates and entertains children"
W.C Fields was once quoted as saying "never work with animals and children". We do both and we love it!!
Fun, educational, entertaining sessions are planned and organised by an outstanding qualified science teacher with specialisms in specific areas of animal care, herpetology and entomology. Has also worked in animal rescue and a zoo
Practical learning not classroom teaching
Building on and developing new skills, knowledge and understanding of the world
Children are encouraged to participate in all activities but there are standalone activities provided in the sessions should they decide to 'opt out'
Hourly sessions
Visits out during the school holidays to wildlife parks, nature reserves and Sea Life Centre
Visits to us delivered as educational talks, exhibitions and animal handling experiences
Activities with DWAs (Dangerous Wild Animals)
"Show and Tell" sessions to bring your own pet
Opportunities for the children to demonstrate what they have learnt in the sessions in exhibitions and shows
Competitions and animal-themed prizes
Children with special educational needs and disabilities are warmly welcomed. Sessions are inclusive and differentiated to meet their needs
The health and safety of yourselves your children and ourselves is paramount therefore full risk assessments are completed
